Up for bid is a Canon M50 mirrorless ILC.
The internal IR hot filter has been removed and replaced with a
Spectosil 2000 Fused Silica
filter. This filter will pass UV from 170nm all the way to IR frequencies over 2000nm. This material is superior in all aspects to Schott WG280 or Quartz plate glass which passes UV from 280nm. I am the only service offering this superior product for full spectrum conversions.
The result is what you see in the first 2 pictures in my listing. The first is with the camera's WB set on green grass and the second is with the camera set for AWB. This camera is the preferred conversion for astrophotography due to the flexibility of external filtration.
Canon's latest M-series mirrorless camera marks a couple of important firsts -- one of them for its series, and the other for a Canon camera of any kind. The first M-series model with 4K video capture, and the first Canon camera with a DIGIC 8 processor, the M50 is an affordable mid-range model aimed at smartphone photographers ready for a capable, interchangeable-lens upgrade.
The myth of the "retained dust reduction system":
Using clear glass to replace the fluorine coated ultrasonic shake filter originally used is a gimmick used by other sellers. Clear glass adds another layer of reflectivity and distortion to your images.
And dust will electrostatically "stick" to uncoated clear glass regardless of how many times you actuate the ultrasonic shake filter. The fluorine coating on the original shake filter reduces reflectivity and distortion, and reduced the static attraction between the dust and the shake filter allowing for the filter to drop the dust when activated. Unfortunately it also filters IR and reflects some UV and has to be removed.  I don?t sell gimmicks, just the finest converted cameras in the world.
The camera's condition:
This is a new open box USA camera. The camera is mechanically perfect.
The viewfinder is clear.
The LCD has no dead pixels and the upper LCD and rear TFT cover are in new condition.
Cosmetically, the body's condition is as new (but please see my pictures as they are my description on the cosmetics).
The autofocus has been adjusted and tested and is
GUARANTEED f/1.8 sharp with all EF-M lenses
