Fur Trade offering of an
early
Fur Trade Pewter Spoon with TM BEAVER & MONTREAL marks,
the maker of this spoon was
Thomas Menut, circa 1825 in Montreal,
x-Jim Richie collection.
8-1/2" long , probably from either
Michigan, Indiana
or Ohio as where most of the Richie
material
came from.

The mark is that of
Thomas Menut w
ho worked in Montreal 1810-1820 through the 1850's.
Marked pewter is hard to find and your piece is one of the few pewterers that have been identified".
