Ricoh GR II 16.2mp. I used the camera very little as it was backup to its identical twin. It is a fantastic camera for the right kind of owner. I call it my embedded camera. I can carry it anywhere, and use it without anyone giving me significant attention in practically any setting. Size matters, and it just doesn't get any attention. I'm not a street photographer, but I enjoy taking candid photos of my family and friends. And this camera excels when you're a member of a group. Your gear doesn't get in anybody's way, and friends and family act naturally because for reasons unknown a little subcompact camera just relaxes people since serious photography in their mind just isn't done with such a tiny camera. But when it comes to photographic power, this camera is a serious player. Super sharp lens, full suite of exposure controls to get it exactly the way you want it, and seriously good in-camera RAW processing. I've owned a lot of cameras, and without doubt some version of a Ricoh GR has provided me more enjoyment of photography than any other camera and lens combination that I've ever owned. I have thousands of treasured photos that would not have been made if I had not had a Ricoh GR. I either wouldn't have had a camera due to size or used the one on my phone because as good phone cameras are, their speed and ease of use can't touch the Ricoh GR. Moments don't wait for you get to get your camera out of its case or the car, but with this little guy, your hand goes in your pocket, you grab your camera with your finger falling exactly on the power button so that the lens is extended and ready to go as you frame your subject, you take the shot reverse the process, and the camera slips right back into your pocket. It feels like magic. Now you're photographing life as it happens instead of stopping life to make photographs.
